Storytime With Isaac and Other Fun Stuff

Isaac loves to read books. One of his favorite books is MOO, BAA, LA LA LA! by Sandra Boynton. He obviously cannot read the words, but he can read the book.

Moo, Baa, LaLaLa by Sandra Boynton

A cow says MOO. A sheep says BAA.
Three singing pigs say LA LA LA!
"No, no!" you say, "that isn't right.
Pigs say OINK all day and night."
Rhinoceroses SNORT and SNUFF
and little dogs go RUFF, RUFF, RUFF!
Some other dogs go BOW WOW WOW!
And cats and kittens saw MEOW!
QUACK! says the duck. A horse says NEIGH.
(It's quiet now. What do you say?)

Green Eggs & Ham

Another book that Isaac likes is Dr. Seuss' Green Eggs & Ham. He also makes a most noble attempt to read this book (quite cute), but we do not have it on film. We do, however, have a picture of when Isaac and his daddy ate green eggs and ham for breakfast. Some leftover Easter ham and green food coloring make for a fun breakfast.

Austin's Love of Books

Austin also loves books, though he almost prefers biting them to reading them. Although I encourage and support our boys in their reading habits and love of books, it can make feeding them more interesting.

"Let go of the books? How 'bout you just feed me with 'em?"

Isaac and Chopsticks

At a chain restaurant called "Noodles & Company" I picked up a "chopstick helper" (a little plastic piece that helps keep the chopsticks together). With the piece, Isaac has gotten quite good at eating with chopsticks (formerly called drumsticks by him). It is very cute!

How many two-year-olds complain about not having enough tofu on their plate? (Austin even enjoyed the kimchi.)
