Tibbitts Family Reunion

The last week of April, we traveled to Divide, CO (outside of Colorado Springs) for a Tibbitts Family reunion.  We spent a week there in an rental place with character.  For example, downstairs consisted of a large room, a small kitchenette, three bedrooms, and a bathroom.  While the one bathroom was sufficient, the fact that it was in one of the bedrooms was a little obnoxious.  That meant that when the boys needed to go to the bathroom, the only path was through Nancy's room.  What made the single bathroom really odd, however, was not the singularity of the bathroom, or the fact that it was in Nancy's bedroom.  What made it odd (and obnoxious) was that the wiring to the bathroom required Nancy's bedroom light to be turned on in order for the bathroom light to be turned on.  That left two choices.  Either leave the door to the bathroom and the bedroom open to let the hall light in, or turn on Nancy's light in order to turn on the light to the bathroom.

We arrived on Saturday, April 23rd and were able to celebrate Easter with Jensine's family.

While on vacation, the boys had a lot of fun hanging out with their cousins,...

...and playing with certain (Super Hero oriented) toys provided by the Wixoms.

For Easter, in addition to the egg hunt and baskets, the boys also received some more Super Hero oriented gifts from Grandma and Grandpa Tibbitts.  They each received capes with their initials, as well as face masks, and new pajamas.

Although the weather was rainy or cold almost every day, there were a few days where the weather was nice enough to play outside.  We took the boys to the park and they had a blast.

After playing on the playground equipment, Aaron took the boys to some big rocks and taught them how to jump rocks.  Isaac showed that he is part mountain goat (as expressed by his uncle Aaron Wixom) as he decided to make the big jumps (initially without using his hands).  Though tepid at first, Isaac's cousins Owen and Adam Wixom also joined the fun and  made the jumps as well.

On the last night, we enjoyed a nice steak dinner in Colorado Springs and Cameron was able to show his uncle Jerry how much he loves eating (especially fries).

The boys had a blast on the way home,...

...but also got some much-needed rest.
